This is the first time I've used "modern" banana plugs to connect cables. The new speakers and amplifiers came with a connector that could accept wires or banana plugs. I was tired of sticking wires in little holes to make connections so I decided to broke and use them. Relatively simple assembly of the cables, since no soldering is required. The last banana plugs I installed decades ago either had a couple of chunky button head screws to hold the wires in place or they had to be soldered. They have two set screws that hold the wire in place and keep it secure, and the caps slide onto the side of the pen and screw into place so you don't even have to remember to put the cap on the wire before removing the plug in. the cable. All of them create excellent strong connections. I wish I had ordered more of these. This set of 12 = 6 pairs, used 8 of them for a speaker wire set and left 4. Now I see I have many audio devices that use a wire-in-hole connection pattern that also accepts these handy connectors. I will change everything soon! For the few dollars they cost, the reliability, convenience, and secure connection are worth it!
