We have recently had to add a window unit to our office space as it seems that the amount of machinery constantly running in this space makes it much more tolerable. Unfortunately, we lost some privacy in this room of the house as the blinds no longer reach the bottom of the windowsill. So I decided to order this privacy film and it solved my privacy problem. I used this totally hazy look compared to other probably more "aesthetic" films because I was concerned that you could see the patterns on these other films through the thin gaps between the patterns. Since this office also serves as a guest room. I wanted as much privacy as possible. I am grateful for the other reviews pointing out that there is a razor blade inside the tube to cut the film on the window. So make sure you find it. I think it took me a little over an hour to install this part of the window. Basically, cut the film, leaving 1-2 inches on each side. Wash the window thoroughly. Dampen the window with water (I used my mister plant). Remove the backing from the film and place it on the window. It slips a little so you can put it back in. Dampen the film on the window. The mop is bubbling (I have a shower mop). Erase the excess length from all sides. Again a wet film and again a squeegee. And it's done! I've done it myself. But I would recommend having someone help if you can, I think that would make the process easier. But you can't do it alone! Looks great!
