This pair of pallets is made of high quality stainless steel. The two different design shapes are about the same size. Perhaps, in addition to the shape of the pallet, the distinguishing feature is the number of holes. A rectangular pallet has four holes, while a semi-circular pallet has five holes curved around the outer edge. Both palettes have a silicone ring surrounding the thumb hole to provide a comfortable thumb hole. Each pallet has its own stainless steel spatula. You can use a spatula to place resources in indentations or in a flat area for mixing/mixing. I have used plastic pallets to hold acrylic paints when working on model/craft projects. They tend to be fragile and I have to fold them in half to create a strong surface. This is the ideal solution for mixing/mixing and storing different paints/polishes.
