I bought this for an F/O box that was under my desk and I was concerned about kicking it or its cables or otherwise injuring my legs which I like to do hit the wall. It fits perfectly in the box and has no heat build-up/dissipation issues with the vent side up. I usually put my feet on it with no problem and never worry about it being fragile or damaged by it. It would be helpful to use a locking mechanism to secure the lid to the rest of the box for added assurance that it won't wobble or move on impact, but even without such a fastener it won't move. seems to come close. I'm very happy with it and if they made a bigger size I wouldn't hesitate to buy it for the surge protector too.
