NOT COMPATIBLE with other Build & Drill Kits

Educational Insights Design & Drill Marble Maze, Marble Run STEM Toy, 50+ Pieces, Ages 5+ TLDR Overview: - Not compatible with other Insights Build & Drill Kits for Educational - Batteries not included - No grid/guides to help kids navigate building with included design cards - Long built for short marble run - Only 1 ball included Detailed overview of them. What we liked most about the sets was that they were all compatible with each other. This is the first set we've come across that has smaller screws and holes. The drill is the same but has a smaller drill head to accommodate the smaller screws in this set. Compatibility aside, we were excited to try this version of the marble walkway. My 6 year old, who loves building marble walkways, was dying to try this set. The set includes starting point cards which should be a puzzle for the child to figure out how to get to the end. Unfortunately, he has a hard time placing positions on the board correctly. There are no numbers, grids, or directions, so it was difficult for him to build by himself and place the pieces in the right place. This tested the limits of his spatial abilities to figure out where to screw in the next piece, say 1 row down and 5 columns up. Well, just like the spinning wheel, instead of spinning nicely, it just fell. If he passed the course, given the time it took to put it together and the frustration of finding the exact and perfect spots for each of the pieces, it's so short that my son, who loves building and puzzles, simply done with that was the first assembly pair. While I was delighted with this particular design and drill set, it just didn't live up to our expectations. In theory, this marble maze seemed so good since we love design toys as well as drills and marble runs. Part of the fun of running marbles is watching the marbles race. With such a short run, the reward really wasn't worth the time it took to assemble. My advice is to use the regular Design and Drill Action Center, which is still our favorite of all the Design and Drill sets, and buy a separate marble run if you're interested in that aspect of this set.
