I have 2 aging felines who were still able to get in and out of a top-opening litter box quite well. After moving to a new home, this system was difficult to clean because I was not using liners, and it was difficult to get the used litter into a garbage bag without creating a mess. Time for change. I researched litter boxes extensively and discovered the Modcat system on Ebay. I purchased the flip litter box with the reusable liner and my cats were in love. Emptying the pine litter into my trash can by pulling the liner out of the box and emptying the contents was a breeze. I washed the liner in the bathtub and let it dry for a day. I purchased another liner that was installed right after cleaning the used liner. This system was so great that I purchased an Open Tray model to use in an enclosed area in my master bedroom closet. Kudos to the designer of this system! The cats and I are very pleased. I suggest that additional liners be ordered. They are supposed to last for 3 months and mine have lasted longer than that. Because they should be washed out after every litter change, it is advisable to have extras on hand. Good product, well designed and virtually trouble free!
