They are fairly easy to put on and keep up quite well around the house. If you forget to take them off before your pup goes outside, he will be lost in your yard forever. However, in my defense, they survived two mowings before I found them. They minimize the sound of nails hitting the ground, which can be deafening if the ground isn't right. My dog does well with supervision but will chew them unsupervised (my fault). She got used to it quickly, so I didn't feel like I was torturing her. All round a great little pair of socks! I think next time I'll take the one whose whole foot is covered in rubber because her feet twist and then she slides all over the place!
