Review on Reusable BPA-Free Sous Vide Bags For Any Machine - 20 Quart And Gallon Sizes For Joule And Anova Cookers - Food Storage And Freezer Safe Vacuum Sealer Bags From OUII by Jerome Godwin

Not good for sous vide.

I bought this for my sous vide. It doesn’t stay vacuum sealed. I’ve used it for pork chops, steaks, and a brisket so far.The steaks kept taking in air. The pork chops did ok, but still didn't stay sealed. I think the brisket took in water (or maybe it was just that much fat, which is my fault in that case), but still didn't stay vacuum sealed. Air always gets in. Ive tried both sizes of bags in the pack. I always push out the air first, and then use the pump to seal. I always fill below the fill line. Doesn’t stay vacuum sealed :(.Maybe it stays vacuum sealed if I never put it in water for the sous vide? I haven’t tested that because my intent is to use it for a sous vide.Overall, wish I would’ve spent the money on a vacuum seal machine and real vacuum seal bags. I’m better off with a Ziploc bag for what I intended to use these for.

Pros
  • Takes awhile to clean.
Cons
  • They might be prone to leaking
