Review on Sony WHCH700N Noise Cancelling Headphones: Wireless Bluetooth Over-Ear Headset with Mic for Phone Calls and Alexa Voice Control - Black by Joseph Meola

Discounted headphones only

Had very high hopes for these headphones and couldn't turn them down at $100 on Prime Day. I've seen numerous reviews touting the merits of these headphones and agree with some of them. 1) comfort; the most annoying area in my opinion. The ear pads are soft but very thin and my small ears can touch the inside of the speakers when wearing them at certain angles. Again, I don't have big ears and have never had this issue with other headphones. Headbands are very, very lacking. It's very slim with padding and generally offers little comfort on the headrest. They also heat up very quickly, after only 30 minutes of watching a movie I have to "breathe" my ears because they feel congested. 2) sound; They are simply beasts when it comes to sound. Download the Sony app and you can set up an equalizer that can really fine tune your sound. It's loud, it can get too loud if you want it, and it'll probably burst your eardrums, they're so strong. But they have great lows/bass with clean/clear mids and highs. 3) properties; ANC is slightly more effective and a lot more visible than the cheaper brands I have. They're by no means Bose-level, but they work well. Works well with soft and rumbling sounds, making them almost inaudible. The buttons are pleasant and comfortable with good functionality, there are no complaints about them 4) In general; If you see them on sale for around $100, buy a pair. But for $200 or even $150, I'd settle for just a bit more for the XM3 or Bose QC35.5) options; iTeknic, Cowin, Ausdom, Fogeek, Audio Technica, Sennheiser. I would take any brand under $100 to replace this disappointing Sony 700. I wanted to upgrade them with some ear pads with PADS which you can't from what I've been looking for so far. It's really unbearable with the ultra-thin padding and zero padding between the ear and drivers! ***
