Review on CIRA DNS Firewall by Eric Speers
Great Firewall solution - especially if IP addresses aren't something everyone knows
The best thing about this software is that it has all of your IPs in one place, so you can see what you have blocked, which websites are not working, etc. The UI could be more intuitive to navigate for new users (it's pretty clunky). They should also give you a list of top 10 most visited sites right off the bat as well! We use CiraDNS firewall at work and I love how easy it is to administer. Some industries may require additional filtering or blocking rules because they do business with certain countries/regions. It allows me to keep track of my own network traffic without having to go through each individual website myself.
Pros
- Keeps everything centralized under an admin user account instead of making multiple entries across different devices within our organization using VPNs makes them very accessible when issues occur due to malware threats from bad phishing emails and social media apps like instagram & twitter sharing malicious links among employees who often accidentally click such things before seeing if its legitimate information first hand
