Maybe my mistake?

I was hoping it would be more like hair rats where I could roll my hair back and pin it up in a vintage style. They're flat, don't curl well, don't hold hair well, and aren't easily penetrated by the invisible. Now they're sitting in the little box they came with me in and thinking about what to do with them. :-(
