I use it to illuminate rooms in the house, children's room and garage in the event of a power failure. I have several steps (low points) around the house that I taped off to illuminate in the dark without having to turn on the lights. My kids love how the bunk bed and stairs are lit so they can get in and out of bed without having to face the light. In addition, the green glow deters monsters (😉). I use it in my garage to highlight trip hazards and the path to the door, even on the door itself to show us how to get out when we're stuck in the garage due to a power outage. I also keep emergency kits and containers aside so I can find them in the dark. Good product.
