One caveat: you need a power adapter for the USB cable - the cable is included, there is NO power adapter! I had a hard time reading books - one of the reasons most of my books are bought on Kindle. However, I do enjoy reading fiction that I can borrow. My problem was that my lights were never powerful enough to read easily. Well, this little light was the solution. It easily attaches to the back of a hardcover or paperback book - it doesn't stick well to things like newspapers. You then have one of three brightness options - I always choose the brightest - and adjust the lamp's very flexible gooseneck to illuminate your reading. Very, very easy. I've tried it once or twice on battery power. However, since I'm using the brightest settings, the battery drains pretty quickly. I have a charger with two USB ports that I plug it into. I have an extension cable at each reading station to which I connect my charger. This works fine for me.
