I had a faux leather bag from Target - in fact I bought two because of the practical design of the two zipped compartments with an open compartment in between and especially because it would fit my huge wallet. They have served me well, but were cheap material that began to crumble and fall apart over time. I was looking for the perfect genuine leather replacement that would not require a second mortgage to purchase. Too many handbags are designed for looks over functionality and are insanely expensive to cater to the whim of fashion designers who clearly don't want a practical everyday bag at an affordable price. What's left are typical fur bags, mostly faux leather, that lack style, functionality, or both. I didn't want a messy bag, I wanted something simple and classic with amazing functionality and genuine leather. Here's the bag. It has everything. Two large zipped compartments, fully lined, with two open pockets in one compartment for phone etc and a zipped pocket in the other compartment. It also has two pockets with magnetic buttons on one side and one zippered pocket on the other side. It comes with two detachable straps - one traditional handbag size and one long, adjustable shoulder strap. You can attach both or both. The skin is elastic, the design is durable, the color is uniform. It comes in its own protective storage bag. The only drawback was the chemical smell when unpacking. I don't know if it was the color or something but I had to let it air out for a few days. never mind This is my dream bag. Did I mention how much I love this bag? And whoever designed this bag from concept to materials to design oversight, you are too gorgeous for words. Many Thanks. I'll be buying at least another one or two to have on hand for the future, although I think this bag will outlive me. One request: I would like this bag in a deep rich brown and I have no doubts that colors like brown, navy blue, red were flying out the door. The best bag in the world.
