With these generic toners, I had my doubts that the cartridge's computer chip needed to be reused to work, but it didn't matter much. They eventually come with the chips installed and are compatible, but as my printer is a newer model I'd rather buy a full set of color toners for the price of an OEM. Yes, you donate without knowing the toner level, but think about it. I have a spare set so I can switch quickly if needed. Plus, they've made it easy to swap out the chips - no tools required. What else would you like to ask? I will definitely buy again.
