I bought this for about $17 and for the price it couldn't get any better. For reference, I also have an outdoor mount that replicates it to some degree. The fit, finish, and overall function isn't on the same level as an outdoor mount, but given the price difference, it's hard to argue against choosing this mount. It's pretty durable and pretty light. It doesn't hold the optics in place as securely if the screw is loose, but if you're a bit careful at this point, they'll be pretty secure once installed. I added a small arch plate I had on the bottom so I could quickly attach it to one of the tripod heads. One caveat: if you have close interpupillary distance or long-barreled binoculars, this can be a problem. The barrels of my binoculars hit the central mount, preventing them from passing the closest distance. This isn't a problem for most people, but if you fall into the narrow-faced or large binoculars category, this might not be the best option for you. Otherwise it's a fantastic value. I wanted a backup mount as my son has grown up and is going on his first deer hunt this year. It would be nice if he could use my old tripod and binoculars with this mount so I don't have to abandon my setup for glazing sessions.
