I chose this set because of the color but also wanted a lighter weight towel for my head after the shower and the Turkish cotton towels bought at the same time were too heavy and bulky to carry. my long hair and around my head. They are fairly soft and absorb moisture well; I will use vinegar in my washing machine to keep it soft (vinegar breaks down the build up of soap and fabric softener residue that makes towels stiff and scratchy over time). Even after washing/drying 3 times there is still quite a lot of lint in the dryer so I have to open the dryer for about 20 minutes after starting the drying cycle to clean the lint screen to allow air to flow through and dry. more efficient (if I don't, the towels take 2x longer to dry). I love this towel set and would order again if more towels were needed.
