I bought this for my husband but he didn't like it so I thought I'd use it. I don't like the smell, but it's not bad. It is an earthy mint scent. I love that my scrubs include some exfoliating sand and this one has really nice fine sand. What I didn't expect was a strong cooling sensation! If you've ever chewed intense mint gum, or perhaps had fairly intense mint breath, you might recall the intense cold burn they can have. it looks like this only on your face and not on your mouth. Or maybe you've used something like ice cold hot for sore muscles. It's like applying it to the face, but not warming, but cooling. Not sure if it's good for sensitive skin and it's not much even for those with normal or oily skin. Once I know what to expect it's not that bad and I kind of enjoy it, but there's always a moment where I wonder if it's breaking the pain threshold, it's just really intense. I suspect it also helps with blood flow to the area, which in turn can contribute to healthier skin. As I like the product in general I only got one star for the intense mint that comes with it.
