Great if you know what it's for I used to hate printers. I've had plenty of HP printers in the past, but ink has always been so expensive that I could never print everything I wanted, which defeats the whole purpose of a printer. I used to buy HP #62 cartridges and for the most part they might give you 30 color pages and then dry up? And they cost $40! Complete plagiarism. Hello Canon PIXMA G4210. First of all I would like to get rid of the main complaints about this printer. - Yes, ok, duplex printing is not supported - Yes, this is not the fastest printer in the world. My response to both of those complaints would be .so what. Canon advertises it as a mainstream printer for the home or small office, and it excels at that task. I've printed about 200 color pages so far and the ink levels haven't changed much. Let me write it again; about 200 pages. If I still had my HP printer it would be about 6 cartridges + ink I would pass. Six HP cartridges x $40 per cartridge = Oh, what do you know? About the price of this printer. The savings from using this printer are outstanding. It's not just this particular canon that I find remarkable. This is the printer type. These mega tank printers are amazing. Epson makes an EcoTank Supertank printer which is great too and I'm pretty sure some of them have duplex printing which I don't care. The G4210 can connect to your wireless network so you can print wirelessly from your computer or laptop. , tablet, phone, toaster or whatever you want to print. I've read several complaints about printing not working properly from mobile phones. I've found that when typing from your phone, you need to download two apps for everything to work properly. One is the "Canon Print Service" application and the other is the "PRINT" application. It's not well explained when you set it up, but it's not the focus of my book. Another issue I've noticed is that people try to type when behind a VPN. For convenience, just turn off your VPN whenever you want to type something. There is a way to set up secure printing, but do you really want to do it now? trust me no There are other features of this printer that you can read about on the box. It scans, faxes, copies. One thing that really sucks is that when you scan, you can't scan to a transfer drive or USB stick. You can save to your computer, but that doesn't matter either. It's just a minor inconvenience. The manual is over 500 pages, which is a little intimidating, but for the most part nobody reads it until they need to. The print quality is amazing too. You can read up on the print quality if you want, but that's more than I'll ever need. I mainly use it for printing PDFs, manuals that I need hard copies of, calendars, kids' homework, and the like. So I love this printer. The main selling point for me is the money you save on ink. When you buy a printer, you get a huge amount of ink that will last a long time. I will never buy HP again. And if you think the HP Instant Ink program designed to "save" you is good, read about it. I have nothing against HP, I just think their products are not worth what they are asking for. Everyone. And when I think of all the money I've spent on HP ink cartridges, I wish this printer was a long time ago. If you're the type that prints a lot and doesn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on ink every month, this is your kid. 5 stars I love it.
