Every child that has seen ours loves them. They're simple enough that even a two-year-old can handle them, but they're good enough that even an 11-year-old will love them. The sound quality is mediocre at best for singing/talking, but most kids love it for the special effects that work well. That being said, no parent who cares about their sanity should buy them. These things are uncomfortable. I'm pretty sure the kids love them so much. Seriously, my son is only allowed to use it outside or in the basement. In addition, the battery lasts quite a long time. I don't think we had to reload my sons.
