Worked great right out of the box! On my Verizon Droid RAZR smartphone (1st gen, not the fancier ones that came later; bought Fall 2011) I just went to Settings > Bluetooth and clicked "Scan for devices" at the bottom. Then I turned on the keyboard, pressed the little connect button on the back, and a short numeric code appeared on the keyboard. Instant pairing! It's great to be able to type in full screen instead of taking up half the screen from the virtual keyboard! Even after you turn off the keyboard, it remains "paired", just not connected; Turn the keyboard back on and it will connect (no need to pair it again). Here's an added bonus: It stayed connected to the keyboard even when I connected it to my Bluetooth headphones as well. I could keep writing while I was on the phone. It also works hands-free without headphones, but I like the call quality with headphones. The keyboard is full-size and very comfortable to type on with a solid feel and quiet keys. I'm glad I didn't get the other smaller bluetooth keyboards! The Logitech quality is evident. worth your money. For this reason, I might not even invest in a tablet for a while, as the main thing I wanted to do on a tablet was to write more comfortably - it completely does that. A tablet would be nice because of the screen size, but it's great if you're traveling light. If I later buy an Android tablet, this keyboard will also work with it.
