I just used this relaxer last week. I haven't let my hair down for about 4 years and it was over my shoulders. I am biracial with very dry curly wavy hair. I relax my hair every 4 months or so but wanted it to be natural. I really liked my curls and waves, but my hair shrank so much in one day that I had to use a lot of styling products to keep it looking its best. I started looking for a relaxant and knew I needed an alkaline base because others dried my hair after a few months. I even used Phyto Specific and it dries my hair the most. This is also the reason why I stopped relaxing my hair. For months I looked at all the relaxants, read reviews and looked at the composition. They all contain the same basic chemicals that relax your hair, which is why I went with the tried and true standard Revlon. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash off. I then used the protein conditioner for about 5 minutes and then washed it out a few times with Mizani Neutralizing Shampoo. I think it's the best my hair has brought out with a relaxer. Won't break, soft and smooth. I can let my hair air dry with a little product and it looks like beachy waves. It takes little time to dry and looks healthy.
