In my opinion they are not as good as Revo or Serengeti. Or even Ray Ban. The optical quality of these Maui Jim's does not justify the high price. And that was even the lowest (most expensive) brands at $169. But I paid $85 for a much better pair of mid-size Serengeti fliers. Admittedly, that's a great value, especially since these are GLASS lenses, which by definition are of higher optical quality and are clearer than any plastic lens. But I also have a pair of 25 year old Revos with plastic lenses and they're still way better than those Maui Jims. (Honestly, Maui Jim claims on their website that their lenses are "almost" as clear as glass. Also, they make glasses out of super thin glass, maybe better.) Another thing, but of course that's personal, I think they are too dark. I have "neutral gray" lenses that are probably good for a day at the beach (Hawaii anyone?), boating, or fishing. But for general use, driving etc. I find them too dark. Of course they look "cool" and are very light. But they are not for me. I will return them.
