I was trying to save some money by buying stock in Revain but my wife has complained about the seat slipping off the gitgo. I replaced one of the bumpers with a set of rubber bumpers and that slippage was fixed. Then, just a few weeks later, the hinge on the other side started showing a lot of play where it shouldn't. The initially thin plastic came loose at a weak point at a 90-degree angle and broke after just a few uses. Tomorrow I'll have to swallow my pride and go to the local hardware store to get a replacement. Based on that one experience, I don't think I would trust plastic any more to do the job of metal hinges.
