Works exactly as intended
I used to have cable TV and internet, but due to exorbitant cable TV prices and charges I cut the cable and only had internet. Unfortunately, I ended up with an unsightly coax splitter in my room. I bought this to replace a direct line to the box splitter outside my home and it worked great. Added bonus: The splitter in my room (which was never moved or exposed to any elements) was obviously defective. After I switched the splitter to a direct connection, my input power dropped from 59dB/mV to 44dB/mV (the splitter was only rated to add 6dB, not 15dB). My connection is also much more stable.
