Drone Model T

I got one of these as a gift when drones first came out and it was almost $200 at the time. Took it back as it was too fancy for my workout and too expensive. Now, at $25, it's a much better deal. It's a good deal, however, because it's a centuries-old design and, like a wagon wheel, it's not the smoothest thing in the world. If this drone was a car, it would be a Model T. Technically, however, it moves/flies/records video. , the modern driver does not know how to use it and will find it particularly useful. However, it is difficult for a novelty to beat the current price. I see that many people have problems with the camera. Being an old design, you need to understand its limitations: it can only support FAT filesystems and only up to 2GB in size (maybe up to 4GB, but I was lucky enough to get it working, go higher without trying). You can get this to work with a larger memory card, but you'll need to create a 2GB partition for the camera to see it. It works for me on an 8GB SDHC card, the smallest I have. What you need to do is insert it into your computer using a memory card reader. Open Windows Explorer, right click on "this PC" and select "Manage". .In the new window, click "Disk Managementโ€ on the left, locate the removable disk/memory card on the right; in the lower part. Right click on it and delete the volume (make sure you're on the memory card volume before doing this, for god's sake). Right-click again under Unallocated space. In Year 2000, select "New Simple Disk Type" when prompted for the size in megabytes. Click next. The next page will ask you for a drive letter and volume label (it doesn't matter, it's basically how it appears on your computer). Click "Next" again, select the FAT file system. You can leave this at the default allocation unit, windows might complain that it's too small or that it doesn't work with older operating systems, whatever you do it might complain about something. Click OK and continue. If, after formatting, a blank Windows Explorer window opens showing a 2GB memory card, you're done. If not and it says you need to format it, format it again, leave "Default Allocation Unit" and it will work this time. (Windows 10 clearly hates filesystems older than 20 years) Take it out. Connect it to your drone. Turn on the controller. Turn on the drone. Next to the memory card is a tiny blue LED. It usually flashes when it cannot recognize the memory card. Turn the silly little knob to the right - it took me an hour to figure it out because who reads the instructions. The LED inside gets a red LED in addition to the blue one. Now record. Enjoy your jittery, dizzying footage. Happy crash.
