Review on Monument Big Sky Dog and Cat Treats by Tina Miles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good as a topper but much more crumbly than other freeze dried treats - very few ingredients

Monument Big Sky Treats Freeze Dried Chicken and Apple Treats for Dogs and Cats were enthusiastically received by a resident of Happy Pappy. The delicacy consists of just five ingredients: chicken, chicken liver, apples, fenugreek and a mixture of tocopherols for preservation. The treat is small (about the size of a breakfast cereal) and is easily eaten by small dogs. The treats are similar to most freeze dried dog treats - they are very airy and can make your dog cough if you have a dry throat - but they seem really appealing as my dog seems to be crazy about these treats. While it's a good snack, I found this particular brand to be much better as a dietary supplement than as a standalone treat simply because of the crumblier texture. The treat was less in pieces than in crumbs and my dog had a hard time giving the treat as it was all over the place. As my dog is older it worked great as a topper adding some water to soften things up. My dog became very easy to eat and I liked that it allowed him to get more liquid in his diet. I'm comfortable giving it to him with <almost> ruthless force since it has so few ingredients. All in all, this is a great choice if you're looking for a good freeze-dried treat to add to your dog's meal.

Pros
