I had trouble on my first try and would like more detailed instructions. However, after taking a closer look at how the slicer works, I figured out how to properly assemble it (that is, putting that piece of metal on the screw rod with a spiral, after lubricating the rotating part), and I got from Because zucchini, yellow squash and carrots give great results. :) 1 - I love the simplicity of this slicer and how easy it is to use. My 9 year old daughter was able to cut carrot spirals. 2 - I picked up the serrated blade and it took me a while to figure out how to reattach it (again, instructions would be nice) but with a little patience the blade snapped into place without effort, with a little "click" again .3 - I like the suction cup that keeps the slicer on the table when slicing vegetables. 4 - It may look less fancy than the plastic versions, but I find stainless steel more hygienic and rustproof (especially when using carrots) . The food slicer is very easy to clean by simply rinsing it under water. My only complaint is that there weren't any captions in the picture instructions to explain in more detail what needs to be done to assemble and disassemble the parts (which is why I only gave 4 stars), but again, some patience and... Testing required Pretty easy to understand because it's a very simple tool - just what I was looking for! :))
