Ok the fan works fine, the remote works fine if you live in a low humidity area, it works great and cools you down as long as it's pointed at you. Use the remote control to point the louvers straight at you, or swing them around to cover the entire room. You don't have to open a window or door to cool the room. It doesn't cool like a refrigerated air conditioner, it just feels cooler. The bad thing is that it emits an annoying loud gurgle for hours. Sounds like a mini Willy Wonka chocolate factory in a subdivision. On the back is a tiny, hinged, matchbox-sized water door, right next to the 110V power cord that plugs into the unit. The water level gauge is a low-tech mechanical float that doesn't show the correct water level in the tank unless you tap it against the side from time to time.
