My pellet stove is a brick fireplace insert. I bought this product because I didn't want to pay a pellet stove manufacturer $25 for a plain 4 inch white gasket. Must have cost 25 cents and the original only lasted a year. I mean the gasket between the stove body and the external exhaust fan. The fan is mounted on the side of the stove to the rear and sucks the fumes out of the stove and sends them up a 3" chimney which I inserted into the stone chimney. It took scissors including punching holes where the screws protrude. It was thinner than the original gasket material so I made two and folded it in half. It has been working great for 3 years and I still had material left over to make two more when it comes time to replace these. I was a bit nervous doing it the first year but it worked out great for me.
