I'm interested in knitted amigurumi because they're quick to knit (I get bored easily), it's a great way to learn new techniques or brush up on others, and then I have a cool stuffed animal to show off mine efforts. However, there are a variety of other books about amigurumi on the market. I can sort out most of them because many of them are crochet or too simple and cute for my liking. Then I stumbled across this book, saw the creatures on the cover and got my hands on it asap. This is a very diverse range of projects that doesn't disappoint, ranging from the relatively simple to the detailed. For still life lovers, there are beautiful vegetables, backyard creatures, sea creatures, and most importantly, a small selection of cryptids (cryptozoological creatures). I hope this isn't a spoiler, but I would buy the book just for the Jackalope. The instructions are well written with lots of helpful photos. I am absolutely amazed by the competence and ingenuity of the author.
