Would definitely use something that doesn't require power.
3 stars because they worked when they worked. I haven't used it for 2 days and I'm not sure if it's in "sleep mode" or just not getting any power. The USB was plugged into both the computer and a power outlet and will not turn on or toggle between HDMI. I'm not sure if this is a power issue or a splitter issue. It's better to use one that doesn't require a power supply, but I needed something with a remote control to set up my entertainment stand.
