They work well as replacement spindles on John Deere L111. They fit perfectly and have grease fittings for longer life. Take my advice; Order a replacement screw kit listed as "often ordered together". When your existing spindles have been in place for a while, their mounting bolts will become one with the spindle housings. A ratchet wrench will most likely NOT remove these bolts, and hitting them with an impact wrench will most likely shear the heads off. The screw holes on the replacement spindles are NOT threaded and the screws in the replacement kit are NOT self-tapping. You either have to cut holes in the spindle or do what I did; drive home with an impact wrench. The spindle housings are aluminum, so the steel bolts screw in surprisingly easily. One more thing; Replacement bolts are too long. When you put the knives back in place, the knife bolts meet the reel bolts. You can either use the washers on the back of the spindle bolts to "shorten" them, or you can cut off some of the excess from the spindle bolts. Given the "fun" I had replacing them, I would NOT recommend replacing them yourself unless you have air tools!
