Review on ๐Ÿšง Tonka 92510 Steel Grader Construction Toy Vehicle by Kevin Jacobson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent durable body but very weak mouldboard.

Normal toy. The chassis is well assembled. The plastic is strong and will not break. There is metal. Metal. I don't think my kids will break it. Rather, I have a feeling that the earth will break them. The blade is plastic and curves backwards as it moves forward. The height adjuster on it is plastic and won't stay in place when pressed into soft dirt. So if you're trying to flatten a fairway in soft dirt, you have to actually keep the blade in the dirt and move forward through the dirt for it to "cut" the road. Keep in mind that this is soft sandy soil that I dug up and replaced elsewhere. It has little clay or compaction material and is very sandy and dry. East Coast soil would most likely destroy this blade. The rest of the toy is excellent. The wheels are big and roll well in the mud. The chassis is what you would expect from this type of toy. I recently dug a hole with the kids and filled it with water. This in turn created a huge mud pit. This toy could easily keep rolling in the mud and had no problems with sticky wheels. However, blades were practically non-existent. I gave this to my youngest (he's 2) so he doesn't care if he cuts or not but my big kids (6) don't need it. Overall: 7/10 Design: 7/10 Aesthetics: 10/10 (I want this thing to be liked) Functionality: 7/10
