Better than homemade.
I bought these to replace homemade decks of playing cards. Mine are plate thin and break easily with heavy use, and I was willing to try something different. They're definitely heavier than playing cards, but not by much! They are nice and slippery as they have a plastic laminated surface, nice and smooth. I wish they were numbered but that's fine, I can number them myself. The same goes for the edge color coding so I can easily tell if cards have slipped out of position. Again, this was easy if you took a pack and used a brightly colored sharpie pen on the edges (make sure to let them dry, before touching the deck). The next set will be made of wood,
