I do my own manicure at home. I liked the variety of colors. They are the same as my other brands of gel polishes. Sheerness - applied in several layers, like other brands. (Apply thinner coats for better application and curing) It took 2 weeks like other brands. I read many reviews before purchasing. If there are problems, then in the application. We are in the middle of a renovation so hands were needed on this one. I highly recommend it if you know how to make gel nail polish. Make sure you prep your nails properly, apply a base coat, apply your color and dry between coats. Apply a top coat. Thinner coats are better. Make sure you apply to the edges of your nails as well. I took my time and applied it properly and it lasted as long as if I had a professional manicure at the salon. In fact, the manicurist I met at Sally's salon told me she liked my nails. When I told her I made them myself she was amazed and said they look like I went to the salon. The people who have complained about the size of the bottles are ridiculous. They are the same size as my others that I spent $10-15 a bottle on. (They are smaller than regular nail polish if that's what they meant) The description states the exact size of the bottle. If you look at the picture you can see the size on the bottle. It's a damn deal! Bad comments about the color dot on the front of the bottle not matching. Well it's true. If you've painted gel nail polish before, the outside of the bottle still won't be the same shade. I see these complaints the same way people complain that their ice cream is too cold. So take most of these complaints with a grain of salt. If you really know how to make gel polish, you will love this product as much as I do! I would definitely buy again, especially other color packs. They would peel off just like other gel nail polish brands. Scrape off the top layer with a nail file, use a cotton swab with pure acetone and wrap in foil, or I use press and seal foil. Usually lasts 15-20 minutes. I do that when I'm watching TV. This process is the same as other brands if you have done it in the salon. Use the orange stick and slide down. Some nails may take a little longer than others depending on how many coats/thickness you have applied. Any brand of gel polish takes some time to apply and remove. Gel polish is a detailed process. It's not the same as putting on a coat or two of nail polish and minding your own business. Love the quality, quantity for the money and the fact that I can make my own at home. They hold up better than regular nail polish which barely lasted a day on me before completely chipping or peeling. You will be very happy with this product if you know what you are doing and use it properly. Sorry I forgot to take a picture.
