The rain nozzle works independently: silk jet on one, massage on the other, or wide jet on the handheld, rain on the other, etc. The whole unit is a very well made knot with a beautiful appearance. chrome plated and you will notice the tightness of the diverter and heads every time you change the setting. If you want the strongest jet, switch to a wand massage. If you want the ultimate in luxury, set them both to silk spray, it's heaven. Overall I am very impressed with this dual shower head and would highly recommend it!
