Litter Champ vs. Litter Genie: Both have Pros and Cons

I would rate this with Litter Genie as "same" based on the pros and cons of each product. The advantage of the Litter Champ is that it has a foot pedal to open the lid, so it can be operated with one hand. And the only other PRO in my opinion is the high capacity. The downsides are you have to open the valve by squeezing it with a VERY small dustpan, and it's not countersunk at all - it's almost flush with the top of the bucket. This causes small bits of filler to fall out when you press on the valve with a VERY small waste spoon. If they tilted or countersunk the valve a bit it wouldn't be that much of a problem. Because the damper is forcibly opened when throwing away the trash, the old dirty trash can will flow out through the hole. Conversely, the PLUSES for the Litter Genie are that it has a larger scoop and an upper "chamber" into which dirty litter can be dumped. The lid then closes and the bottom chamber cover slides out, allowing the waste to fall into the stinky floor and preventing odors from escaping. minuses. Admittedly this is not the best design as it is often necessary to shake the bucket when the lower chamber lid is extended to get all the waste into the lower chamber. So this is a two-handed operation and often frustrating. And it has a smaller capacity than Litter Champ. In summary, I'd happily pay more for a higher-end version of Litter Champ - if they made that stainless steel or even heavier plastic and attached the top drop valve to the pedal, had a larger bucket opening and recessed it top of the bucket more I would pay much more and be 100% satisfied.
