I don't know if this type of battery can be easily replaced, but I've attached a picture of the battery installed to help others decide. It took about 1 hour to charge my fan and it has been running for about 4 hours now with no issues. The low setting makes almost no noise and moves enough air to cool me from about 3 feet on this 80F day. The medium setting produces a quiet sound and moves enough air to be felt from 10 feet away. The high setting is more than I would ever need from such a small portable fan. It's a pretty cute little device for only $26.
