Review on Airiton 18 89Inch Tactical Antenna SMA Female by Brett Kolpack
The antenna does not resonate in the amateur band on VHF or UHF.
I cleaned the antenna. Extended SWR over 3:1 on FM. When folded, it had an SWR of 1.4:1 in the low aircraft frequency range, but still over 3:1 above 130 MHz. On UHF it's over 3:1 somewhere between 430 and 470. Still, it was a decent receiver.
- ▶ Airiton tactical antenna is suitable for Baofeng UV-5R, UV-82, BF-888S, BF-F8HP, GT-3TP UV-5R V2 Plus, BF-F9 V2 series radios.
- Doubtful purchase for old people
