I bought this to separate my daughter's 3c/4a hair in a protective style. Received it last week and used it for the first time last night to part with basic puffs. It was MUCH easier to get a straight piece with a thin metal tip than it was with our bone comb or plastic rat brush. I don't think I will use a real comb - it's too thin for my hair or my little girl's hair. But I like the metal tail; It's just perfect for what I bought it for. And I bought this particular comb because it comes with a felt sleeve to protect the comb from breakage, protect people who work with it from cuts, and protect surfaces and other tools from scratches or cuts while it's in storage .
