Review on πŸ›οΈ Enhance Your Sleep with the REM Air System Replacement Wired Air Bed Pump for Select Comfort or Sleep Number Mattresses by Joe Murphy

Highly recommended, solved my problem with a broken pump on a 15 year old Nautilus bed

This is an excellent pump replacement for air beds. I have a 15 year old Nautilus bed and the pump has finally failed. I researched the options and settled on the REM Air System as the best option. The Nautilus bed is an older design that used a noise fan based pump that had a fill tube and a small secondary pressure sensor tube for each of the two chambers (king bed). All I had to do to connect the REM pump was block the small pressure sensor tube, which was accomplished by inserting a regular metal nail into the tube, which made for a very tight fit. The fill tube on the Nautilus bed is 3/8 inch ID but very thick walled making the OD quite large and the tub too short to reach the REM pump on our floor. This is because the Nautilus pump was placed in the top reel next to the user's head and not on the floor. This was easily solved with a 3/8" to 3/8" hose coupler and a new 3/8" section of hose, anything you can get at any good hardware store. Pull both hoses out, to get to the point of the pump.connect the compression fittings that came with the REM pump, connect the controller, switch off and the problem is solved.I like the fact that the REM uses a well isolated vibratory pump and sitting on the floor.I was inflating the first chamber when my wife came into the room and asked if I would pump her now.She was pumping and she didn't notice.Much nicer controller than the original old Nautilus including pressure gauge and memory setting impressed enough to take the time to write this review as I highly recommend this product as a solution to a faulty pump problem you may be having.

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Too long to wait
