Used this on a 9 year old mattress. I'm not a slob, I wash my sheets and mattress every week. I've recently been allergic to dust mites so I've had to keep them under control until a fresh new mattress (and cover) arrives. Wow, that vacuum cleaned up some of that gray powder: dead skin, mite droppings, bits of mite. I was surprised at how much he pulled out of the mattress. I must have spent a good 30 minutes with double and triple rooms and adjoining carpet around the bed + pillows. Soon I will replace everything, then I will support with vacuum. at least once a week.
