Review on Polycom 2200-46162-025 VVX 410: Advanced 12-Line IP Phone with Gigabit PoE (Power Supply Excluded) by Katie Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exceptional sound quality Good build quality Good phone

I bought this phone with the intention of getting a more expensive model. But the more I think about it, the cheaper I become reflexively. This phone is used on RingCentral. First of all the phone is a quality phone, better than I expected for the money. The phone and base are well weighted, the screen is bright, the buttons work great, there's a stand for angles, and it comes with a network cable (but no power adapter). I bought "Polycom Genuine 48 Volt Power Supply for Polycom IP Phones 2200-46170-001" for power and it works great. Setting it up with my VoIP provider was effortless. I just called and gave them the MAC address and internal; IP address. In a very short remote session, they connected the phone. It literally took about 5 minutes including phone charges, from boxing to making and receiving calls. The best thing about this phone is the sound quality. The caller's audio is very clear and the phone's speaker is excellent, especially in hands-free mode. On the other hand, my voice can be heard well on the handset or speaker when I'm sitting about a meter away. I recorded my voice seated at various distances and up to 3ft it sounds the same as in the tube. In fact, the phone is so sensitive that if you're panting, you might want to get a phone with less "high definition" because your callers will hear your breath. Other phones had bigger screens, Bluetooth, or more lines. nothing I needed and I'm glad I didn't spend double the amount on another phone I was looking at. Haven't tried it with a headset yet, but I've tried all the other features on the phone and it works flawlessly. RingCentral users can use this phone to transfer calls to their cell phone (blind or announced) or to another phone. Phone as long as you have a number. It's easy to put speed dial/important people on your home screen. To be honest this was my first VoIP phone and impressions of it are extremely positive.
