I haven't had this hub for a long time so I can't speak to longevity or longevity (maybe I'll update if there are problems) . I tested different computers and peripherals. Here's my list (what worked): This helped connect the Dell Latitude 7490 to a monitor via HDMI in addition to a USB mouse and keyboard. Connecting the Pixelbook Go (2019) to a monitor via HDMI and Display Port also helped. I also managed to connect an old monitor via VGA. The ethernet worked and the audio connection worked. The only issue I had was the length of the cable (the USB-C cable is designed to connect to a laptop or computer). Now I don't want this cable to be too long, but for me it turned out to be too short to put the hub on the desktop. However, my laptop sits on a laptop stand, so this isn't a big deal for anyone who puts their computer on a tabletop or uses this hub when traveling. To solve my problem I used some 3M Command Image Hanging Strips (they have velcro) and attached the hub to the bottom of the laptop stand. Now it doesn't bother anymore, but it still comes off when I need to connect or disconnect different devices. In general everything is fine. The quality seems to be there. And most importantly, it works like a hub for me!
