There was a lot of hype about the Vortex due to the warranty program, but I wasn't impressed with the performance.1. The crosshair has been moved to the right, so you'll need to tilt it to the left to get it going straight up and down. Serious? 2. I tried to measure distances and got different numbers. Not long distances, like 30 yards, and getting a different reading per yard each time. Seriously?3. The case provided is not included in order to protect it properly. Really?4. Claims to use angle compensation, but doesn't give any information on the angles or distances that are changing, so you're blindly taking the rangefinder at face value the entire time. Nobody who is serious about precision will like this. The only real plus I would say is that the construction feels great in all weather conditions and the warranty sounds great. Everything else is average.
