Review on Tripp Lite Portable Inverter PINV1000 by Wensheng Dunbar

This is a well made high efficiency modified sine wave inverter that can run 1000w continuously and when I tested it it ran 1500w for almost a minute before cutting out. The fan makes noise when turned on, so it's not the best choice if you're worried about noise. I have used Tripp Lite inverters for many years and have found them to be well made and reliable. This inverter comes with a 3 foot 12 volt battery cable which is very short which led me to give it four stars instead of five. You will find it difficult to connect these wires to the battery in your car or truck so I used an eight foot AWG 2 wire which allowed me to use the battery and keep the engine running to extend usage time. Know that this is a modified sine wave, which is essentially a square wave. This doesn't work with some types of electronics, but works great with power tools or most chargers. However, this is a well-made inverter and should last a long time. Please note that many of the negative reviews on this item do not apply to the 1000w inverter but to smaller inverters.
