So far I am very happy with this inlet tube for my aquarium. It is used with the Fluval 306 canister filter. Another reviewer mentioned the difficulty of setting up the skimmer. To swim. The skimmer relies on a float, which is essentially an air bladder. The amount of water withdrawn from the skimmer depends on 3 variables [volume capacity of your filter pump, setting of the bottom flow plug and amount of air in the skimmer float]. To adjust the air in the float, simply use a plastic pipette to slowly add or remove air from the bladder to get the desired flow volume. Honestly, the manufacturer should include this in the packaging, how much can it cost? $0.05? It would be nice if the flow plug and skimmer were glass, but it might be better if they were plastic. Overall very good, glad I bought it.
