I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I'm using it on a 49" LG LCD TV that serves as a second monitor to set up on a dyno and I'm amazed at how it focuses the light straight down without glare on the screen. It illuminates the table/desk in front of the TV/monitor without causing reflections. I leave it set to warm white and maximum brightness, but it's easy and intuitive (well labeled too) to change it. There is no power adapter supplied, just a USB-A male, but I plugged it into a USB port on the TV and when the TV is on the light comes on. You can presumably do the same with a monitor that has a USB port, or plug it into a port on your computer that shuts down with the computer. One note: the instructions are minimal, and the counterweight portion of this lamp has a piece of plastic covering the rubberized surface. Be sure to remove this plastic; This will prevent the counterweight from slipping off the back of the monitor. This product exceeded my expectations and is highly recommended.
