Although difficult to please, my 5 year old son loved them immediately. He has wide legs, so he always complains that something makes him uncomfortable. They were light, flexible, comfortable, and easy for him to put on. Traction seemed decent even on wet surfaces. The only problem was that after a few wears, the lining detached from the insole exposing the shoe's much less comfortable outsole. Today, for the most part, he refuses to wear them. Such a shame!
